Case Studies
Ecobuild

GTMS were contacted by Ecobuild with a view to having them build large props for the world's biggest event for sustainable design, construction, the built environment and the UK's largest construction event of any kind.
2011 was the first year Ecobuild was hosting the exhibition at ExCel London, taking over almost every square metre of the 65,000m2 event halls.
GTMS was engaged within days of meeting with the Ecobuild team and set to task designing props and branding pieces. The entire concourse at ExCel had to have a significant brand presence, which included suspending a giant arc, spanning 18m wide, made from an aluminium frame and covered in blue coated kappa board; creating You Are Here maps; building large entrance features at both ends of the concourse; and bespoke registration and information desks, made of black hi-impact PVC and colour matched vinyl. This was decided to enable the brand to change its colours for 2012 without the expense of having everything re-built.
Other branding services included directional signage, meeting room signs, information points and creating VIP sponsor stands for the Platinum Suite.
All in all, three arctic trucks of kit were transported from GTMS and everything was installed overnight by a team of twenty skilled fitters and crew, just 24 hours before the event went live.
Result: A very successful show and a very happy client.
"The move of Ecobuild from Earls Court to ExCeL was a very important one and the event needed to have real presence in the new halls. GTMS responded to that task at short notice and with enthusiasm. The physical and time constraints which governed the build up and break down periods were very challenging but they approached the whole job with a very positive and flexible attitude - just what was needed. No doubt they will help us do an even better job next year"
