Toshiba
Toshiba are updating their LCD Display Units for the new look PC World and Curry's Megastores throughout the country.
Toshiba approached two companies to design the new display units, i2e being one of the incumbents, collaborating with GTMS, together winning the contract. An excellent concept design and prototype were presented to the client within a very short deadline.
The display was to compete visually with other market leaders such as Sony and LG. The prototype was constructed from an aluminium structure, clad in white folded dibond panels. Internal lighting was used to accentuate elements of the stand. The resulting effect was a high gloss finish, visually striking and eye catching product display.
The first prototype was installed at Hemel Hempstead and Toshiba have now been invited to display at various other stores throughout the country.
"We're constantly improving manufacturing techniques" says Dominik Short, Director at GTMS. "We have stream lined the internal structure by changing from an aluminium system to a light weight plastic while still keeping the sleek and stylish dibond clad design".
