Simpsons Film Premiere

‘The Simpson Movie' was premiered at the O2 and with three days notice GTMS were asked to help bring the launch alive.
What did we do there?

GTMS were approached by Flux Events to create a solution to cover 170m of 3m high press walling with the recreation of the cartoon town of Springfield, the event focal feature being a 10m high X 6.5m wide Homer Simpson head. The panels were digitally printed in sections to a recyclable aluminium substrate, which was then die cut to shape and secured to a timber clad scaffold structure. The same process was also used to provide a 3.7m high and 7.3m wide giant donut to greet guests arriving by water.

Guests were able to walk through the mouth of the Homer head and the donut which maximized the overall impact of the event. The overall result encapsulated the spirit of Springfield, with the end client delighted with the result.
