Actimel Snow Globe

No one could have imagined at the concept & design stage that creating a 'Winter Wonderland' in a 'Giant bubble' with snow inside was possible!

While real Arctic conditions swept across the country, iD Experiential gave GTMS the challenge to set about creating a 'magical Christmas themed, snow filled globe with activities for kids and adults inside! With developments occurring to the designs daily before the launch date, GTMS technicians had the skill to react in time to keep the project to the deadline.

A brief was given to create a magical experience that included some mild physical activity of some sort. A fully functioning airlock was designed to prevent the dome deflating when the door was opened to give access to the public. A barrier method was developed to overcome problems with the snow blowing out of the door, and Sound reducing units were designed to deaden the sound of the fans to comply with sound level requirements of the shopping centres.

A giant inflatable clear PVC dome gave a high impact Snow globe look and a focal point in the shopping centre. The Christmas atmosphere was created using White soft floor with artificial snow blown in to the air with the inflation fans with the addition of a snowman & Christmas trees to give a festive feel and a great photo opportunity. Padded indoor play equipment including a ball pit, wobble bench, mangle and snow ball toss game provided activities for all abilities. LED coloured spot lights illuminated the dome with magical music playing & free yogurt samples, ensured this attraction brightened everyone's day!
